SAUSAGE PARTY - Movie Review

HIGHWAY TO HELL (Food Edition)

When was the last time someone told you that a movie about food with a lot of swears in their quite sophisticated vocabulary actually existed? Get prepared for the major R-rated raunchy comedy of the year in the world of animation ('cause Deadpool took that title in the live-action dimension of cinema).

THE BLACK WIDOW

As soon as her mother fell hard to the ground, the cat jump scared immediately by her certainly angry yell. “Stop messing up!,” the furious spider yelled at her daughter as her skin turned darker, “If you keep up with this immature behaviour of yours, I’ll scratch you, all right? Now go to your room, whiskers.” The cat went her way back fast to her bed with her mouse-shaped toy. She just wanted to play and have some fun with her mama! She didn't mean to demolish her mother’s spider web. “It was just an honest accident!” she said to herself. She knew the spider-web was precious to her because of all the detailed arrangements her mother did to it. “If I only got my mommy back” the cat said sorrowfully...

JUDY HOPPS VOICES (Zootopia)

THE BUNNY THAT NEVER GIVES UP

POTENTIAL SPOILERS OF THE MOVIE OVER HERE

Before I start... I'm not the best at drawing by far. Plus, with a mouse... It's too FREAKING hard. But hey, I'm trying! Try Everything ;) And I intend to get better.

We all fell in love with Judy Hopps in Zootopia. Such an optimistic and fearless character against all the odds in such a hard world to live in: the adult world, the one where you get to look for a job that makes you feel happy and satisfied.

But every great character (in my opinion, the best in a truly great film) has theirs flaws, fears, and things that make her weak but strong at the same time. Clichéd? Maybe, but it doesn't matter here, because her character design ad development is beautiful to watch. Let's take a look!

Spoiler Thoughts on SUICIDE SQUAD!

INSANE, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS

How to make a villain relatable? Do criminals deserve mercy? Once again, an extremely divisive DC movie among critics and fans, and for the first time... I'm actually in the positive side. Many call this film as "another cheesy generic product of the bunch". I call it a "bold and unique story of damaged guys trying to get redeemed". Even though it goes to ambitious levels by the end of the film, the story feels claustrophobic within the complex psyche of the characters and their personal insecurities. That's the whole point. Despite its generic plot points, it feels different.

That's what makes this movie, despite the flaws, beautiful: a world of chaos and no real good guys. One where people fight their demons in order to avoid the nonredeemable state of pure evil. How? Let's talk about it!

THE JUNGLE BOOK - Movie Review

WHEN THE REMAKE IS BETTER!

Remakes don't often work. Sometimes is just a complete failure. But there are some films that make the exception. This year's The Jungle Book is one of the most risky Disney projects among other previous live-action adaptations, such as Cinderella, Maleficient, and Alice in Wonderland. However, as much as they had successful results at the box office, they didn't quite generate enough love globally. Some have been average, some good, but neither really great. Can The Jungle Book break the "curse"?
