POTENTIAL RETURN TO GLORY?

2002: "OMG, THAT SPIDEY FILM WAS AMAZING!"
2004: "Hands down one of the best comic book films ever. Outstanding."
2007: "What? How? Why? Emo Peter Parker, what the hell happened?!"
2012: "Where's Tobey Maguire?! Garfield is cool though... but something's off. I've seen this before. Not fresh."
2014: "Way to screw it all up, Sony. It's Spider-Man 3 all over again. Fun, but still a hot mess. Bring us 2004 again!"
2016: "A THIRD Spider-Man version, are you fucking kidding me? Although, Tom Holland, great job in Civil War!"

December 2016: "Spider-Man: Homecoming, please be good. Please return to the days of the first two Spider-Man movies". Well yeah, these have been pretty much my reactions over the years and other people's feelings as well. Spider-Man fatigue is hurting the character's image... BUT!

If 2017 nails Spider-Man again, taking into account that the new trailer has smashed the internet, we might give favorite Marvel superhero the proper homecoming he deserves. Here are the four highlights of the trailer! There's one thing I'm sure of: Tom Holland will knock it out of the park. Again. Right, Civil War?

REIGN OF THE GENRE

Long are the days where you get only one comic-book movie every two years. But right now, we are practically getting a new every two months or so. Yes, it might get a little exhausting for many people, but the genre keeps reinventing itself and gives new and fresh air every once in a while: Bryan Singer with X-Men, then Sam Raimi with Spider-Man, Christopher Nolan with The Dark Knight Trilogy, Joss Whedon with The Avengers, Ryan Reynolds knocking it out of his self'-referential park with Deadpool, and so on.

It´s 2016, and both fans and casual moviegoers are open to more comic-book movie experiences (or at least that´s what I think). There have been many projects trying to get the green light and others that didn't deliver for what they promised. Even so, there are MANY STORIES yet to be told, much more than the typical save-the-day-and-defeat-the-enemy-and-save-the-girl film (don't get me wrong, Deadpool is one of the few great exceptions). Speaking of Deadpool, could we get more R-rated movies? Wolverine 3 is on it's way... and it won't be the last of its kind for sure!

WHAT A LOVELY YEAR.

      Creo que este año es de los más variados en cuanto a películas (and it looks pretty sweet!). 

Además del abrumador festival de "Comic Book Movies" este año (y me gusta la oferta), el mundo mágico, el galáctico y el de Pixar atraerá a muchas audiencias alrededor del mundo. Este año hay 10 películas que no solo quiero, pero necesito ver en la pantalla grande, sea como sea.

      Aunque las películas basadas en videojuegos no han recibido apoyo real por la calidad de sus producciones, quizá este año con nombres tan mediáticos como "Warcraft" y "Assassin´s Creed" este tipo de filme podría cambiar la imagen positivamente.  

      Eso sí, quizá el tema más discutido para este año es el siguiente: ¿Marvel o DC? Hmm... por mi parte, honestamente, I just don´t care! Son diferentes, interesantes y, seguramente, serán todo un éxito a lo largo de este año.

      En un año lleno de enfrentamientos entre superhéroes, una película en el espacio un toque distinta de sus antecesoras, el regreso del mundo mágico, antihéroes caóticos, very looong awaited sequels, no hay mucho de qué quejarse!

  ¿UN SÍMBOLO PROPIO?

      ¿Una marca propia? Suena como un comercial esto. Bueno! Vas caminado por la calle y observas un muchacho corriendo como un desquiciado con una caja de pizza. Entra al apartamento como loco. Usted se queda viendo por unos cuantos minutos, ¿por qué? curiosidad (o es que estás muy aburrido). Sale emmm... digamos que se llama Pedrito :) Sale del apartmaneto con una cara tristona con la caja de pizza y se va a la casa. Ese es un héroe con problemas comunes de la vida. Ese héroe podría ser uno de nosotros perfectamente.
